Septic/Sanitary Sewer Design
The professionals at Povall Engineering have successfully completed numerous projects of various sizes and levels of complexity for residential and commercial projects. We provide our clients with all the services necessary regarding proper sanitary sewer design. We provide recommendations, engineering design services, cost analyses, develop design specifications and construction administration services associated with onsite septic systems or community sanitary collection systems.
Stormwater Management
Povall Engineering has been responsible for the design and preparation of detailed stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs) including identifying potential sources of pollution, designing practices to be used to reduce pollutants from construction sites, and assuring compliance with terms of the Phase II Stormwater Standards.
We provide oversight of the contractors’ implementation of the SWPPP and perform erosion and sediment control inspections on a daily and weekly basis in accordance with the Phase II standards. The following are projects for which we have completed the design work and performed inspections.
Erosion Control
Povall Engineering provides assessment and repair recommendations for all drainage and erosion problems for residential and commercial properties. Rain-induced erosion causes the breakdown of soil structure and quality in addition to the loss of soil mass. Land-disturbing activities such as those involved in clearing, dredging, grading, excavating, transporting, and filling can result in soil erosion if not properly controlled. Povall Engineering has years of experience managing erosion control over a wide range of applications.
Spill Prevention
Povall Engineering can help to prepare and implement a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan as part of facility compliance management. We have experience in preparation, oversight, and certification of SPCC plans. Significant environmental compliance penalties may be assessed for failure to prepare or follow an SPCC plan and for discharges that result from failure to follow the requirements of the regulation.
